\"ThinkEvans<\/a>In what many thought might be a moderately quiet year due to the much discussed GFC, our fearless leader, Carolyn, took the initiative to go back to uni – a big call when you were last in the hallowed halls of learning along about the time of the last ice age!<\/p>\n

So February 2009 saw Carolyn lining up with thousands of brand new friends at the University of New South Wales, getting a student card and starting classes for a Master of Legal Studies. Not the least reason for choosing this course was our practice areas of governance and military justice, but also for Carolyn\u2019s long-standing advocacy work with Zonta International<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course, in keeping with our tried and true work practice, the first priority was to test out all the coffee spots on campus and find out who makes the master brew – the results of that market test are available for a very reasonable price!<\/p>\n

What came next was an exercise in when way, waa-aay too much coffee is actually not enough.  Carolyn took six subjects in the programme during 2009, including two elective subjects in International Law.  Rest assured, there were some weekends where the resurrective properties of caffeine were sorely tested indeed.<\/p>\n

Why is this news this week?  Because we are absolutely delighted to report that Carolyn made the Faculty of Law Dean\u2019s List for her academic achievements in 2009, being placed first in two of her six subjects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
